Recession Proof Yourself in 2009

You have to wonder how some people make over $300 million a year when others are going into foreclosure on their homes. That’s scary stuff, yeah!

It’s pretty bad when you see the economy going into a downward spiral, but you have to wonder how in the heck did anybody make any money in all this nonsense.

For one, they didn’t let fear of the recession guide their goal setting plans, and neither should you.

Fear is an emotional response, and only good for short-term survival. When you’re in “fight or flight” mode, you’re not thinking straight and you’re liable to do anything. You’re just running around like a chicken with its head cut off!

You lack strategy, planning, and insight, and that can hurt you in the long run.

Why is it that people like Donald Trump and Warren Buffet can rake in billions while everybody else is going to the toilet in this economy? Because they see OPPORTUNITIES where most people see the economic “toilet.” They have a strategy (and insight) into things that most people don’t see. They also have a plan and they WORK that plan!

Internet shopping is predicted to hit $145.1 billion dollars this year: a significant 14% increase — despite the recession! Why? Because with gas prices and layoffs in jobs, people are going to be tightening up their belts and doing a lot of shopping on the internet, instead of running around town — burning up gas.

Consumers will be spending more time at home, using their computers for everything from bargain hunting and product research to upgrading skills and getting college degrees online. The shift is ALREADY well underway! My cousin’s wife is studying for her Master’s Degree online, and one of my clients just raked in over $300 million dollars worth of profit last year in real estate sales!

So, while a lot of people think the credit and housing market is going south, it might be… but there’s a lot of people eye-balling those foreclosures as an opportunity and they’re cashing in on them.

I don’t want the word “recession” to stop you from pursuing economic goals this year. You could be realizing exciting personal, financial, and business goals in 2009, but you’re wondering if you can do it. You’ve probably wondered if you have to go to one of those seminars at a fancy hotel in town…

…well, you don’t.
